Call of Duty: Black Ops 6’s post-launch content is showing no signs of slowing down, as Treyarch has revealed major additions for the game’s highly anticipated Season 4. As usual, the update spans across Warzone, multiplayer, and Zombies, but the multiplayer content—especially new and remastered maps—is drawing the most attention.

Season 4 continues BO6’s trend of mixing original content with nostalgic remasters. This time, Treyarch is bringing back Fringe, one of the most iconic maps from Black Ops 3. As an in-season addition, Fringe’s return further solidifies the remaster roadmap that Treyarch has subtly followed—one major map from each previous Black Ops title.
So far, BO6 has already featured:
Nuketown from Black Ops 1
Grind from Black Ops 2
Hacienda from Black Ops 4
Now Fringe from Black Ops 3
Grind from Black Ops 2
Hacienda from Black Ops 4
Now Fringe from Black Ops 3
With Black Ops Cold War being the only major entry left unrepresented, it seems almost certain that Treyarch will continue the trend in an upcoming season. Cold War’s Armada, Moscow, or Garrison would be prime candidates for remastering, and could blend well with BO6’s more grounded movement and combat pacing.
While remastered maps can be divisive, Black Ops 6 has balanced nostalgia with originality better than most recent entries. Rather than relying entirely on old content, Treyarch has used remasters strategically—letting beloved maps return without overshadowing fresh designs.
Fans of the franchise’s history have plenty to celebrate, and with Cold War representation likely on the horizon, BO6 is shaping up to be a full-circle tribute to the entire Black Ops legacy.
