Unsaturated double bonds (vinyl groups) are found in basic acrylic monomers or oligomers. This means that the additional polymerization process, in which a free-radical reaction is used, makes them harden. Then, peroxides, peracetic acids, and sulfones are added to acrylic resins to start the process of polymerization.
