Choosing the Right Rug Size for Your Living Room

I’m redecorating my living room and trying to figure out the best rug size to tie the space together. My furniture layout includes a sofa, two chairs, and a coffee table, but I’m unsure how much floor space the rug should cover.

 

I’ve been looking at options, and I’m particularly curious about how the 8x10 rug would work in this setting. Would it be too large or just right? I’d love to hear from anyone who has experience placing an 8x10 rug in a similar living room.
