Quick share for the group. I drive a Patrol and lately it's been feeling a bit sluggish on startup, not enough to leave me stuck but enough that I know I should probably deal with it before it becomes a problem. Started looking into replacements and realized pretty quickly that not all batteries are the same, especially when you've got a bigger engine and all the extra electronics that come with these cars. My last one was just whatever the garage had lying around and it only made it about 14 months before it started acting up. Was doing some reading last night and came across this page https://trippinuae.com/best-battery-types-suvs-luxury-cars-dubai/ that talks about what actually works for larger vehicles in this climate. Made me understand why my last one didn't last, apparently the vibration from a big engine combined with the heat just kills standard batteries. They recommend certain types that handle it better, AGM and some others I'd never heard of before. Still figuring out which one to get but at least now I know what to ask for when I go shopping. Thought this might help someone else with a similar car.
