Iran war or Iran operation? Trump admin vs. GOP statements

Republican senators rejected a war powers resolution on Wednesday that would have required the Trump administration to seek congressional approval before continuing military action against Iran.

Ahead of the vote, several Trump officials and the president himself referred to the conflict with Iran as war while many GOP lawmakers argued the opposite.
