Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer says he will "stand firm" by British values "no matter the pressure" following criticism from President Trump over his stance on the Iran war.
He says the "long-standing British position is that the best way forward for the regime and the world is a negotiated settlement with Iran, where they give up their nuclear ambitions."
The PM insisted that the UK-US special relationship is "operating right now" - and pointed to British forces working with the US from British bases.
