Irish executive appointed CEO of Canadian insurance giant

David HarneyIrish businessman David Harney, who has been with Irish Life since 1986, has been appointed president and chief executive of Great-West Lifeco, its Canadian headquartered parent.Mr Harney has been the company’s chief operating officer for Europe since 2020, overseeing the Irish Life and Canada Life organisations in the UK and Germany as well as Ireland.
