Bill Maher Compares Democrats to Women Who Won’t Date Him
Every episode of Real Time with Bill Maher ends with an editorial that’s best described as “Old Man Yells at Cloud of His Own Pot Smoke.” After going on rants about the world-ending dangers of sex robots and the socialist Hellscape that is Canada, this week, Maher turned his attention to the Democratic Party, Love is Blind contestants and the women won’t hook up with him on dating apps. Stressing that Democrats have to decide on “which wing of their own party to follow,” Maher suggested that they avoid the path chosen by one of the stars of Netflix’s Love Is Blind, i.e. wokeness. Don't Miss In the recent Season Eight finale of the dystopia-coded reality dating competition, contestant Sara leaves Ben at the altar because, according to The New York Post, “he didn’t have the same woke views as her on Black Lives Matter, gay marriage and ‘the vaccine.’”While sharing the same political opinions and moral values doesn’t seem like the craziest prerequisite for a relationship, according to Maher, this meant that Sara “realized she’d rather die alone.” Maher may have been especially miffed because Ben’s “faults” aren’t so different from his public opinions. How does any of this relate to politics? Because, according to Maher, “if the standards on the left are going to be this high, and politics is going to be this much of a cock block, we’re never going to win elections, or have any more babies.”In other words, Maher is saying that the Democratic Party’s political incompetence isn’t unlike women who refuse to have sex with guys who kind of suck for the sole purpose of becoming pregnant and birthing their children. Is that really the metaphor that Maher and the rest of the Real Time staff decided to go with?“This inclination from certain liberals to always and immediately ex-communicate instead of communicate is what makes them so unlikable,” Maher continued, adding, “You’re a much better person than him, you win. And by win, I mean lose.” Okay, at this point in the monologue, it became pretty clear that Maher was taking this whole thing very, very personal. He began criticizing Democrats/women for being too “demanding and particular” and claiming “maybe your judgy ass is no prize either.” Seriously, did someone just dump Bill Maher after Googling “Bill Maher”? The host then veered even further off course, complaining that women on dating apps can filter out matches that are below a certain height. “Did you know that on Bumble, only 15 percent of women are willing to date a man under 5-foot-8.” And just when you thought that the whole “stop cock blocking electoral victories” bit couldn’t get any more misogynistic, Maher offered this zinger: “Wow, women, they’re like roller coasters now, you must be this tall to ride them.” Incidentally, Maher’s height is reportedly somewhere between 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-8, which could explain why he’s personally enraged at the thought that he might be rejected by “Democrats.”
