Tipperary gardaí investigate two vehicle fires in Clonmel
O’Connell Street, Clonmel, Co Tipperary.Gardaí and emergency services in Tipperary attended two separate vehicle fires in Clonmel in the early hours of Friday morning, where a van and a car were on fire in suspected cases of criminal damage. It is unclear if the two incidents are connected at this stage. The first fire occurred in Clonmel town centre, and the second in the north western suburbs.Gardaí and the local fire service attended the scene of an alleged incident of criminal damage by fire caused to a van on O’Connell Street, Clonmel, on Friday morning, May 8, confirmed a garda spokesperson. The incident occurred between the hours of 4.20am and 5.20am. An investigation is ongoing.Separately, gardaí and the local fire service attended the scene of an alleged incident of criminal damage by fire caused to a car on the Heywood Road, Clonmel, which occurred between the hours 5am and 6.30am on Friday, May 8. An investigation is also ongoing, added gardaí.
