Iranian supreme leader killed in joint US-Israel strike | 7NEWS

Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has reportedly been killed in a joint US-Israel military operation called Operation Epic Fury, which has struck over 500 targets across Iran including military, nuclear and government sites. Iran has retaliated with missile strikes hitting six countries across the Middle East, including Tel Aviv where a missile penetrated Israel's Iron Dome defence system. US President Donald Trump authorised the strikes from Mar-a-Lago, stating goals of preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons, crushing its military capabilities and achieving regime change, while Australia's Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has expressed support for the operation and called an emergency National Security Committee meeting.
