Trump: 'US has seized an Iranian ship trying to pass a naval blockade'

Donald Trump has said US marines intercepted and took "full custody" of an Iranian-flagged cargo ship in the Gulf of Oman.

US forces seized the vessel after it tried to get past the US blockade. currently in place around Iranian ports.

The US president posted the update on Truth Social.

The ceasefire currently hangs in the balance, and this latest incident shows further escalation in tensions between the US and Iran.
