Everton were defeated 2-1 at West Ham United on Saturday afternoon, conceding a Callum Wilson stoppage-time winner after a dramatic finish at the London Stadium.

West Ham edged ahead through Tomas Soucek’s header early in the second half, the Czechia international finishing at the near post from Jarrod Bowen’s well-placed corner delivery.

Everton were denied what appeared to be a clear penalty-kick for handball just five minutes from time but equalised through a thumping Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall volley moments later.

The Toffees looked promising in their search for a second, but the Hammers couldn’t be counted out. Wilson on 92 minutes took the game away from David Moyes’ men.
