King Charles III has delivered a speech to congress highlighting the importance of strong partnership between the United States and the United Kingdom. In an address that was supposed to be apolitical, the King did speak about the Trump assassination attempt, NATO, climate change, global uncertainty and wars in Ukraine and Iran. He also used the AUKUS alliance as an example of countries working together.
US President Donald Trump was not present for the speech, as is protocol.
