Months on from Vanuatu’s longest strike, teachers have returned to schools but the scale of the damage is still being felt in the classroom.

For eighteen months teachers went without pay and some turned to selling fish to make ends meet as they fought for billions of vatu in unpaid wages. But while the dispute is over students are now struggling to catch up.
