Great week ahead as Met Eireann forecast 18C temperatures
A glorious week of sunny, dry and warm conditions is ahead with Met Eireann forecasting highs of 18 degrees. Today will be dry with spells of sunshine, though cloud may build up through the afternoon. Highest temperatures of 14 to 18 degrees are forecast in a light variable breeze. It will stay dry and largely clear tonight, though a few mist and fog patches are possible. Lowest temperatures of 3 to 7 degrees are forecast in light winds. Tomorrow will be mostly dry with some sunny spells, though there is the chance of an odd light shower. Highest temperatures of 14 to 18 degrees are forecast, warmest further west, in light to moderate northeasterly or variable winds. Here's Met Eireann's national outlook for the coming days: Overview "High pressure still in charge. There's a chance of some light showers at times but overall plenty of dry weather and sunshine in store for the rest of the week." Wednesday night "Dry overnight with long clear spells for most. Lowest temperatures of 4 to 9 degrees, with light northeasterly winds." Thursday "Largely dry with sunny spells and just the odd light shower possible. Highest temperatures of 13 to 17 degrees, a little cooler near eastern coasts, in light easterly winds." Thursday night "A dry night with clear spells. Lowest temperatures of 4 to 9 degrees. Some patches of mist and fog may form in light easterly or variable winds." Friday "Another mainly dry with spells of sunshine. An isolated shower is possible towards Atlantic coasts. Highest temperatures of 13 to 18 degrees, warmest further west in light southeasterly winds." Friday night "Cloud building in the west and north with clearer spells elsewhere. One or two showers are possible towards the southwest overnight. Lowest temperatures of degrees 5 to 10 degrees in light southerly or variable winds." The weekend "Current indications suggest the weekend will be warm with plenty of dry and sunny weather, though some patchy light rain is possible at times, particularly in western parts."
