Iran retaliates against US and Israel strikes: what happens next? | ITV News

Iran has vowed revenge over the killing of its country’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and has retaliated to US-Israel lead strikes on Iran with attacks of it's own on the wider region.

In central Israel, 9 people were killed when an Iranian missile evaded defence systems and hit a bomb shelter in Beit Shemesh.

The US suffered it's first fatalities of the war with three servicemen killed. Donald Trump posted a six-minute video on social media in which he called the three service members “true American patriots who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation, even as we continue the righteous mission for which they gave their lives.”
