Sky News host blasts Chalmers for using war as ‘shield’ for Australia’s failing economy

Sky News host Andrew Bolt blasts Treasurer Jim Chalmers for not preparing the Australian economy better.

“The Reserve Bank today warned of possible recession even as it lifted interest rates for the second time in a row,” Mr Bolt said.

“As the Reserve Bank Governor today admitted, this rate rise had more to do with the inflation that was already rising before the war.

“Chalmers today used the war as a shield.

“Inflation will only get worse as this war goes on and petrol and diesel prices stay high.

“This war isn't the reason for this disaster today. The real disaster is that this government didn't prepare for surprises like this, and now we'll pay.”
