The trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day has finally swung into the world, and it is a total game-changer for the MCU! After the emotional "hard reset" of No Way Home, we’re finally seeing a solo, street-level Peter Parker navigating a New York that has completely forgotten him. Between the debut of that gorgeous, comic-accurate classic suit and the shocking reveals of some heavy-hitting Marvel icons, there is so much to break down.
The Creative Team & Cast
The film is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Just Mercy, Short Term 12), taking the helm for the first time in the franchise. Returning to the lead is Tom Holland (Uncharted, The Crowded Room, The Devil All the Time) as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, joined by Zendaya (Dune, Euphoria, The Greatest Showman) as MJ and Jacob Batalon (Reginald the Vampire, Tarot, Novocaine) as Ned Leeds. The ensemble features massive MCU returns and newcomers, including Jon Bernthal (The Bear, The Punisher, The Walking Dead) reprising his role as Frank Castle/The Punisher, Mark Ruffalo (Poor Things, Spotlight, Zodiac) as Bruce Banner/Hulk, and Michael Mando (Better Call Saul, Orphan Black, Far Cry 3) finally returning as Mac Gargan/Scorpion. The cast is rounded out by Sadie Sink (Stranger Things, The Whale, Fear Street), Marvin Jones III (Black Lightning, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Halo), Liza Colón-Zayas (The Bear, United 93, In Treatment), and Tramell Tillman (Severance, Godfather of Harlem, Dietland).
