With the engine finally running, I decided to take a break from the mechanical side and focus on styling. The goal was simple - start turning this abandoned 80s supercar into something that actually looks like a proper race car.
It started well.
A ducktail rear wing, new rear lights, and for the first time the Nova began to look exactly how I’d imagined. But then I decided to take things further.
Using expanding foam, I attempted to build a full widebody kit from scratch.
The rear actually came out surprisingly well… but everything else quickly turned into a complete disaster.
What started as a simple styling upgrade ended up being one of the worst decisions I’ve made on this build so far.

If you’re new here, this is the full rebuild of an abandoned 1980s ‘supercar’ that’s being turned into a completely unhinged turbo race machine.
And somehow, it keeps getting more ridiculous.
