At least 99 people have died and 154 injured after heavy rainfall triggered widespread flooding and landslides across Afghanistan over the past nine days. The National Disaster Management Authority reports 5,000 homes destroyed, 355 km of roads washed away, and over 14,405 acres of farmland inundated.

Rescue and relief operations are underway as emergency aid reaches affected families. Afghanistan’s meteorological department has issued fresh warnings of continued heavy rainfall and potential flooding across all 34 provinces, urging communities to remain vigilant.
