US-Iran two-day-old ceasefire is 'very shaky'

US and Iranian delegations are set to begin negotiations in Islamabad, Pakistan, on Saturday for diplomatic talks. The US President, Donald Trump, says he is "very optimistic" a deal can be reached.

Sky's Sally Lockwood says the two-day-old ceasefire is "very shaky". Benjamin Netanyahu has agreed to speak to Lebanese officials in the hope of calming the conflict.

israel's invasion and bombardment of Lebanon has put the ceasefire and tomorrow's talks under strain, with Iran closing the Strait of Hormuz in retaliation.

Trump said he had told Netanyahu to "low-key it" in Lebanon afterIDF strikes killed more than 300 people on Wednesday. Fighting continues between Israel and Hezbollah, with fire exchanged overnight.
