Met Police will do 'everything possible' to keep the Jewish community safe

The head of the Metropolitan Police has refused to be drawn on whether Jewish people are safe in London.

Sir Mark Rowley told Sky News he couldn't give a "binary" answer to questions of safety in a city as large as London.

But he insisted the force would do "everything we possibly can" to keep Jews safe in the capital.

He was speaking after Essa Suleiman was charged with two counts of attempted murder following a stabbing attack in Golders Green.
