Energy Minister Chris Bowen says some fuel shipments to Australia have been cancelled or delayed due to the war in the Middle East, warning of potential supply disruptions.
The conflict has entered its fourth week, and the Strait of Hormuz remains closed, causing a massive disruption to the global oil trade and sending petrol and diesel prices soaring.
Mr Bowen also said while the government had contingencies for fuel shortages, Australia was "a long way" from fuel rationing.
