Why did US President Donald Trump agree to a ceasefire with Iran?

Former US national security adviser John Bolton tells Sky News Donald Trump agreed to the Iran ceasefire because rising oil prices and falling stock markets worried him about the political impact it would have on himself.

Bolton argues the decision was not based on American strategic priorities, warning that pulling back now would put Gulf Arab states under Iranian hegemony.
