We’ve got the legendary Toyota Hilux going head-to-head with the all-new Toyota Land Cruiser. On paper, they’re practically twins: both are powered by a 2.8-litre 4-cylinder turbo diesel with 204hp and 500Nm of torque.

But as we know, paper specs don’t win off-road battles!

The Hilux is one of the world’s most indestructible pick-ups, featuring a leaf-sprung rear end and a rugged, no-nonsense approach to getting over rocks. However, it’s facing off against the brand-new Land Cruiser - a tech-heavy beast packed with off-roading features, better articulation, and a much shorter wheelbase.
