Trump extends ceasefire with Iran at last minute

US President Donald Trump has said he’s extending the ceasefire with Iran at Pakistan’s request, as he waits for a "unified proposal" from Tehran.

In a post on Truth Social on Tuesday, Trump also said the US military would continue its blockade of Iranian ports, and claimed the Tehran regime was “seriously fractured”.

He wrote: "I have therefore directed our Military to continue the Blockade and, in all other respects, remain ready and able, and will therefore extend the Ceasefire until such time as their proposal is submitted, and discussions are concluded, one way or the other."
