President Trump is turning up the pressure on Asian and NATO allies to send warships to end the de facto Iranian blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. In a recent interview he said “If there’s no response or if it’s a negative response, I think it will be very bad for the future of NATO.” Trump also suggested China should send warships to help secure the gulf.
