Trump threatens retaliation after Iranian strikes on gas facility in Qatar
To President Trump ensconsed in the White House, what he called today his "Little Excursion" against Iran is going well.
But in the theatre of war itself, oil and gas plants are burning, tempers are boiling and the conflict is in danger of spinning out of control.
The alarming possibility of Iran's Arab neighbours being drawn into the war was hinted at by Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister. He told us his kingdom and fellow Gulf states had significant capabilities - military firepower in other words - and their patience was limited.
Iran said it would have "zero restraint" if its energy installations were targeted again.
Israel - which raised the stakes last night by hitting Iran's and the world's - biggest natural gas field said it had acted alone, and had agreed with President Trump not to carry out such attacks again.
